We are a small, independent family owned restaurant.   We bake our own breads, smoke our fish and butcher our meats.  It is very important to us to support local businesses , therefore we source our food and drink from local producers and suppliers bringing us the best quality ingredients and produce that Kent has to offer.

 

Chandler & Dunn

Chandler & Dunn Ltd is a family farming business with roots dating back over 200 years. They have around 610 hectares covering two farms within 3 miles of each other, Goldstone Farm at Ash and Perry Farm at Wingham, East Kent.

Their approach to farming is simple. They harness modern techniques and  technology to traditional, environmentally friendly values and methods.

Their welfare of their animals and land are paramount and everyday they strive to protect and improve our herds, orchards, pastures and fields as well as the surrounding countryside.

 

Fruits De Mer, Broadstairs, Kent

Jason Llewellyn of Fruits De Mer has 18 boats handling up to 1m kilos of fish a year. Catching fresh fish, squid, shellfish and more, he delivers the best quality produce possible as his boats land daily and only sells seasonal produce.

Biddenden Vineyard , Biddenden, Kent

Biddenden is Kent’s oldest commercial vineyard.  The vineyards are set in 23 acres, where eleven varieties of grapes are grown to produce White, Red, Rosé and Quality Sparkling wines. Traditional Kentish ciders have also been made here for over 30 years together with farm pressed apple and pear juices.

 

Kent Cider Company, Canterbury, Kent

Kent Cider Company follow a rustic process sourcing heritage apple varieties, pressed by a traditional oak hand press then allowing nature to take its course in fermenting the juice. They then select the ciders that benefit from aging and let them mature in oak barrels or add blends of spice to create a variety of spiced cider.
